Early Literacy Institute

 Summer 2020 Early Literacy Institute

Topics will include teaching the CCSS writing genres (informative, opinion, and narrative), writing workshop and mini-lessons, using mentor texts to teach writing, peer response and writing centers, problem solving for special populations, differentiation, critical thinking, and student engagement and choice.  Time will also be spent developing and sharing meaningful lessons.  The Institute will be facilitated by Stefanie Watson, an RWP Teacher Consultant and local veteran teacher with experience teaching preschool through 3rd grade.  

 

Dates:  August 3rd-6th, 2020

Time:  9am-3pm

Audience:  Teachers TK-3rd grades

Cost:  $250 for all four days; Discounts for cohorts from schools & school invoicing available.

  • Online registration and credit card payment information will be provided on the first day for those seeking credit for professional development.
